Jim McGovern will play in his third U.S. Senior Open this week when the top senior players head to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo. June 28-July 1.
The two-time OMEGA Senior Section Player of the Year will tee off at 7:21 a.m. on Thursday in the first round and in the afternoon at 12:51 p.m. for the second round. McGovern is paired with John Smoltz, a former pitcher who is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

McGovern, who was a medalist in the sectional qualifier at Suburban Golf Club in May, has not made the cut in his two previous appearances in the U.S. Senior Open.
McGovern was a runner-up at the Head Pro Championship and Pro Pro Championship this year, and earned a third place finish at the Lincoln Charity Clambake in June.
