“I really appreciate the chance of playing with the pros in the state,” Laudien said. “It’s a real honor.”

Britton and Laudien made birdie on three of the four par 3’s on during their second round. This is the third time Laudien has won this event (2001, 2009).

The duo played in the winning group with Sam Kang of Essex Golf Center and Alex Beach of Baltusrol Golf Club at last year’s Pro Pro Championship. Britton and Laudien played together as a team in four of the last five years.

“It’s always fun to play with Bill,” Laudien said. “He’s always helped me with my game and it’s made a real difference.”

Dave McGovern of Brooklake and Jim McGovern of White Beeches, who won the Frosty Pro Pro Championship at Twisted Dune last year, finished in second at 6-under. Brian Gaffney of Essex Fells, who made his return to the New Jersey Section this year, teamed with Greg Baker of Rockaway River. The duo finished solo third at 5-under.

Galloway National Golf Club has served as host of the Pro Pro Championship since 2003.

“Being able to have everybody come down and see this gem in South Jersey, it’s a nice getaway,” Galloway PGA Head Professional Jason Lamp said. “The golf course has been in very good shape for this time of the year.”
