Alex Beach Set To Compete at 99th PGA Championship

The first round of the 99th PGA Championship begins Thursday at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Alex Beach of Baltusrol will represent the New Jersey Section as one of the 20 PGA Professionals who qualified through the PGA Professional Championship in June.

Beach has been at the site since Saturday, taking in the moments at the first major he is set to compete in. The 2016 OMEGA Player of the Year is the first Section Professional to compete at the PGA Championship since Brett Jones of Due Process and Jim McGovern of White Beeches qualified for the event in 2015.

The 28-year-old will begin his first round Thursday at 2:25 p.m. with PGA Tour players Sean O’Hair and Kevin Na.
